Welcome to the Future

I've opened this blog as a little exercise
in positive thinking. I bought a one-way
ticket to Paris when I was still a
teenager and lived there for some years.
Now I'm thinking how lovely it would be to
"bookend" my NYC life with another
stint in the city of light.  Who knows
exactly when (or how) it will happen, but
hey—at least the blog is in place!

[P.S. -- Starting June 1, I'll be posting
here on the first of each month.]

  2. Oh Alexa I think you should write a book about that time in Paris! I would be first in line to buy a copy. I often dream of running away and living in Paris....when I grow up...then I remember I have grown up :(

  3. Hi Alexa,
You could always start your blog with stories of that time. It will inspire you even more and then when you come back here you will have a thousand more stories to tell.

If you continue posting to this blog, «Louis» will add it to his Paris blogroll.

  5. I think it's a fine idea, Alexa - both your 'positive affirmation' blog and your NY/Paris bookends fancy. Here's to making dreams come true.

  7. Wonderful idea! Can't wait to see more of your Paris photos and hear your stories. As to your dream of living in Paris again -- maybe blogging will make it so!

  8. Every bit of the photo looks jewel encrusted. Living in Paris: income could be a issue. Even though eventual SS checks do travel, your photo inspires an idea for you here: “busking”?.

    1. If only I had any musical talent whatsoever. But alas . . . any other ideas, TG?

    2. Let’s see. Of course you will need a pink stretch limo as seen within here. But that, too, entails out-of-pocket expenses. Perhaps bartering would accomplish the task. Do you have anything like this? Or know the combination of the safe belonging to someone who does? Not that I would ever suggest something less than perfectly legal, mind you...

  10. Okay, so back at the beginning,

A story to go with each image would, indeed, be enchanting. Like the story of the poor dog who did not want to be on the second floor. Could you date these images for us please? Perhaps, season and year would suffice, certainly for me.

    1. Thanks, Julie. I think I can come up with some sort of time frame. This one was taken in early spring of 2011.
