This was an early-spring day in the garden of the Palais Royal, and the pleached lime trees were already leafing out. The building just visible at the end of the allée is where Colette once lived. [It's Shadow Shot Sunday. To see more, go here. And of course, I'm Dreaming of France.] |
Wow! That's a wonderful pathway with such intricate shadows!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo!

This is one of my favourite parks.
ReplyDeleteI love that park too, well pretty much any park in Paris. I've never heard of the word pleaching before! I've seen many pleached trees though it turns out.
ReplyDeleteSomething about the path and the shadow and the people all look so orderly, so French! Thanks for playing along. I'm running behind on commenting because I spent yesterday driving 1000 miles.
ReplyDeleteHow very lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love this place. This photo brings back lots of great memories. The Jardin du Palais Royal has literally been my backyard for most of my trips to Paris. I just open the backdoor and I'm in the Galeries du Palais-Royal.
ReplyDelete«Louis» is working his way backwards in your Paris tour - and enjoying himself in the process!
