I love this church, but not so much when it's filled to overflowing with visitors. The best time to really see it, to appreciate the sheer size—and the silence—is when the doors are first opened, at 8 a.m. [Am linking back to The Weekend in Black and White, Shadow Shot Sunday, inSPIREd Sunday and Dreaming of France.] |
I like how you posted this in black & white. Thanks for sharing it in InSPIREd Sunday.

ReplyDeleteI don't remember Notre Dame being that light! When I was there years ago, I felt as though I were groping through some sinister darkness!

I hadn't seen your Paris Encore sign. Tres charmante! I agree that any place in France will be less crowded early in the morning. The French, as a rule, are not early risers.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image!
ReplyDeleteLove your header.
Thanks for playing along today. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadow! It's been so long since I've been inside Notre Dame... living in Paris, I definitely need to go back when it's like this - quiet and peaceful. 8am it is!
