What's the story?

Saturday, 8 A.M., rue St. Julien le Pauvre—
in front of the Hotel Esmeralda.  I can think
of a few scenarios to go with this image, all of

them dramatic and most likely involving tears.
So, is this a sad tale or a happy one?

  1. A happy one! The remains of a wedding where a tiny flower girl dropped her basket!

  4. Very interesting photo!
Let us hope it is as suggested - the remains of a wedding.
Though I can imagine a more dramatic scene with tears and shouting.

    1. Well, it's Paris—so either scenario is a strong possibility.

  5. He was two hours late . . . AGAIN. The soufflé was ruined. She threw his peace offering out the door after him.

  6. what a beautiful image! Yes, I could ee the remains of a wedding. I could also see a quarrel and the fellow who brought the roses had them thrown back at him, fistful by fistful of petals!
